The Forum Experience

At the Executive Peer Forum the group benefits from established process best-practices; but also by training members in participation best-practices, and accommodating the needs and personalities of the individual members. The Forum experience is defined by several parameters:

  • Confidentiality
This is the over-arching principle that allows the Forum to operate. Each member is bound to protect the confidentiality of the other members, in perpetuity. This is the bed-rock of the relationships, and we will continually reinforce this commitment through discussions involving situations and scenarios.
  • Goal Focus
The Executive Peer Forum recognizes that the purpose of individual participation is to achieve both professional and personal outcomes. Participants identify their life goals, five year goals, one year goals, and 90 day goals. The Forum process holds the Member accountable, and applies the wisdom and experience of the group in supporting individual goal achievement.
  • Process
Years of best-practices assure that individual Forum members both contribute and receive the benefits of Forum participation in an efficient and respectful manner.
  • Binding Norms
Best practices strongly define a set of norms that insure Forum effectiveness. However, because each Forum varies according to the needs of the individual members, each Forum has the opportunity to negotiate its own set of Norms that are then binding on all members of that particular Forum.
  • What Forum Is NOT
It is important to recognize that a Forum is NOT a social club. Since substantial value is derived from the experience base of the members, a healthy Forum derives much of its strength from a diversity of experience and perspective.
  • Meetings
There are twelve four-hour Forum Meetings per year, held on a rotating basis at members' offices, and one two-day mandatory Forum Retreat per year. Social events are optional.
  • Networking
Joint retreats and inter-Forum collaboration is facilitated among all Executive Peer Forum members, and through the principal(s). Guest Speakers — As desired, expert guest speakers will be invited to Forum Meetings. These speakers can offer additional expertise tailored to Forum needs in areas such as the Law, Accounting, Taxation, Human Resources, and Merger & Acquisition.
